Bruins acquire Belanger
Sat. Nov. 7, 1998. The Boston Bruins have acquired left wing Ken Belanger from the New York Islanders in exchange for center/left wing Ted Donato, Bruins President and General Manager Harry Sinden announced on Saturday. The trade was made following Boston's 0-0 tie in Pittsburgh this afternoon. Belanger is expected to join the team in Carolina and be in the lineup when they face the Hurricanes Sunday. "Ken brings us some size and toughness at forward," said Bruins Assistant General Manager Mike O'Connell. "He's big, he can skate and he's tough."
