Simpson out with broken hand
Chicago left wing Reid Simpson will miss four to six weeks after breaking his right hand in a fight with Boston right wing Aaron Downey on Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998. Simpson, 29, had three goals, five points and 118 penalty minutes in 44 games last season with New Jersey and Chicago. In 105 career NHL games, the 6-2, 220-pounder has four goals, 15 points and 289 penalty minutes.
