Tkachuk out 3 weeks, DeBrusk recalled as replacement
Wed. Dec. 30, 1998.

PHOENIX - Phoenix Coyotes captain Keith Tkachuk will be sidelined at least three weeks with a broken rib, and center Jeremy Roenick will miss at least a week with a concussion. To replace the two stars on the roster, Phoenix recalled left wing Louie DeBrusk and right wing Steve Leach from the minors. Tkachuk, returning to the lineup after missing two games with a sprained right knee, was injured when he was cross-checked in the back by Los Angeles defenseman Mattias Norstrom in the second period of the Kings' 4-2 victory Monday night. Roenick suffered a concussion in the third period when he was checked hard into the seamless glass by Kings defenseman Doug Bodger. DeBrusk has three goals, nine assists and 153 penalty minutes in 24 games with the IHL's Las Vegas Thunder.
