Nazarov suspended for cross-checking

NEW YORK - Tampa Bay Lightning left wing Andrei Nazarov was suspended by the NHL on Saturday, pending a hearing Wednesday, November 18th, for a cross-checking incident in Friday's 8-1 loss to the Colorado Avalanche. Nazarov received a cross-checking major and a match penalty at 14:47 of the third period against Avalanche defenseman Cam Russell. The 24-year-old Nazarov will miss Saturday's game against the Phoenix Coyotes, pending a hearing with NHL senior vice president and director of hockey operations Colin Campbell. Nazarov has one goal and no assists in 10 games for the Lightning this season.
